The Present Moment

The Present Moment

*The following article is translated from Hebrew so may not be as grammatically correct as my more recent articles. *

The Present  moment:
“Breathe deeply I smile. I’m staying in the present moment – I know it’s the only moment” – the Nhat Han case.
I write a lot about attention, it happens for a simple reason. Where our attention is what we experience, most people spend most of their time with their attention in thoughts, most people include me when I started. now? Mmm… honestly I guess it’s 60% presence / 40% half the time in thoughts half the time in presence. Better than 95% of those promoted in thoughts without a doubt. But we have become accustomed to it, that our attention in thoughts and it requires a current practice of directing our attention back to where we want to take it. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder = inability to navigate our attention.
And by the way, despite all this – we’re fine and we’ve been fine so far. However, I think the time has come for us to go beyond thoughts and back to the present moment, that is the only moment in which we exist. There is not much to write about it or to say honestly, but here are some interesting ways to be in the moment:
– Attention to breathing (including meditation practice)
– Pay attention to the blue sky when you are outside, to the trees, to the feeling of temperature in the light
And to the pleasant touch of the sun
– Pay attention to the sense of stability of the feet on the floor
– Pay attention to the surrounding sounds
And yes, our attention will go again and again to thoughts and again and again we will bring it back to the present moment, it’s not a bad thing – it’s the name of the game! Do it for your habit, keep coming back to the present moment and your life will change for the better I have no doubt. Only from this simple practice will you discover freedom that you have not imagined, because beyond all the serious and limiting thoughts we have about things lies freedom.
an adventure:
Notice when your attention goes to thoughts during the day and bring it back to the present moment in a variety of ways you will find:
Pay attention to the green color of the trees or the things around, pay attention to the feeling of breathing in different areas of the body, feel your stomach, your legs, listen to the sounds of the birds. Be gentle with yourself, remember it is natural and lose attention it happens to everyone, the game of returning attention to the present moment is the whole point!

This is a topic I’m excited to talk about absolutely, as it’s been really benefitting my life. Mind – The mind is great at many things, like logic and abstract thinking. The strengths of the mind are clear rational thinking, and making connections between different dots and patterns that without it, wouldn’t be recognizable. Creating a schedule, being forward-thinking, being financially responsible, and remembering things. Doing math and science. Doing lenient tasks. These are things the mind…

Spiritual Practice Can Save Your Life:

This morning I woke up with my nervous system feeling kind of iffy, disconnected, and stressed. It was an enjoyable and busy week in which I probably pushed it too much and moved at a pace that wasn’t natural for it. I then went on with my day and because of that stress, I was consumed with worried thoughts the whole day Because of so much anxiety and hurry, I yelled at my partner for no good reason and we had a fight. I made lots of mistakes at work because I wasn’t focused, and then went on…
